Dan worked as a field mechanic for over 30 years in the mining and oil field industries. In 2008 Dan and his late wife became Christians in Morenci at the Sunset Church of Christ. In the passing of his wife Dan decided to attend preacher training school in Denver Co. at the Bear Valley Bible Institute. Upon graduation Dan chose to do mission work on the Navajo Nation Indian Reservation that covers 27,000 square miles of Arizona, Utah and New Mexico. During his ministry on the Navajo Nation, the Safford Church of Christ, the Sunset Church of Christ in Morenci along with many, many other congregations and individuals supported Dan with monthly support and daily prayers. In 2011 Dan met his wife Rose and they were married in 2012. They served many of the Navajo congregations and gained custody of 3 of Rose’s late son’s children in 2020. Heidi now 17 years old, Isaiah now 16 years old and Hope now 14 years old. They will be attending Safford High School in August. Dan and his family are very excited to be in Safford and say they are blessed by the community and all who have welcomed them in with so much love. Safford is still a place where small town American values still mean something to its residents and should be valued in the hearts of all. The Safford Church of Christ is a loving family that sets its goals in life to live an example that Jesus Christ left the world to follow.
